How to use Wine bottle label removers
Wine label removers work by adhering to the printed surface of the label and lifting it away from the bottle, while the original adhesive and backing remain behind. This allows the label to be preserved as a keepsake, capturing the wine, the place and the moment it was enjoyed.
STEP ONE
While holding the narrow starter strip, peel the transparent label remover away from the light backing paper
STEP TWO
Place the edge of the label remover, adhesive side down, just past the edge of the wine label on the bottle and gently lay over the label
STEP THREE
Rub the entire surface of the wine label with your fingers, removing air bubbles or folds, then use a flexible credit card like item to rub over the surface of the label remover, paying attention to label corners, edges or metallic or raised surfaces
STEP FOUR
After rubbing the surface for several minutes, try peeling the label remover back from one corner, if the label remover does not split the printed portion from the plain paper remaining on the bottle, place the label remover back down and continue rubbing surface
STEP FIVE
Leave label remover over wine label for 1-2 hours if removal is initially unsuccessful. Once label is removed from the bottle, trim around the wine label with scissors, leaving an adhesive edge border for adhesion or trim to the edge of the wine label and use glue to adhere to your choice of surface
STEP SIX
Place removed label into a wine or travel journal, wine menu or cellar inventory, scrapbook or back onto the backing paper until ready to record your wine memory
If the label does not lift cleanly..
If a label begins to lift unevenly and tears, the remover can be placed back over the label, the surface rubbed and continued from a different direction, helping it stay supported as it comes away from the bottle.
